Temple Square and the Planetarium!

This week the kids, my adventure partner (my mom!), and I hopped on Trax and headed to Salt Lake City for the day! Our first stop was Temple Square...I recently realized that the last time we had been there was when Ashton was a baby, and both kids were too young to remember it. It was fun to go there again after such a long time!
We had lunch at The Garden Restaurant at the top of the Joseph Smith Memorial Building. It was beautiful there! We had views all around of Salt Lake, and it felt like we were outside with the skylight ceiling! They are celebrating the building's 100th birthday, so in the restaurant they had everyone sing "Happy Birthday" and they released a balloon through the open skylight. The kids thought that was fun!
After eating, we walked around the building for a bit. They had a lot of things from 1911 to look at...the kids' favorite was this car!
After that, we hopped back on Trax to go to the Planetarium at the Gateway Mall. It was so fun! And the best part, as long as you aren't seeing any shows, it's FREE!
The kids on their home planet...Mars!!
Walking on the moon!
Time to go home! It was a long day, but we had so much fun!
